This Privacy Policy describes how Embodiment AI (“we”, “us”) collects and uses information in connection with embodimentdata.com. The service is not intended for users located in the European Union; we do not knowingly collect data from EU residents. Please also review our Terms of Service and Contributor Agreement (for contributors).

1. Scope

Applies to use of embodimentdata.com, whether you browse, register an account, or participate as a data contributor.

2. Website Visitors (No Account)

  • We do not intentionally collect personal information when you only browse.
  • Hosting providers may process basic technical data (e.g., IP address, server logs) for security and operation.

3. Account Registration

If you create an account, we collect:

  • Email address
  • Account identifiers and metadata

Authentication and account management are handled via Supabase and Google. We do not collect passwords directly. Information is used for account access, payments, and communication related to participation.

4. Data Contributors (POV Data Collection)

If you participate as a paid data contributor, we collect:

  • First-person video and/or image data
  • Metadata related to the recording session
  • Content may include hands, household environments, or public surroundings

We do not collect data for the purpose of identifying individuals, but POV data may incidentally contain personal or sensitive information.

5. Use of Collected Data

We use collected data to:

  • Conduct research in robotics and embodied AI
  • Train, evaluate, and improve machine learning and foundation models
  • Create derivative datasets and models
  • Support internal analysis and development

Data may be combined with other datasets and irreversibly incorporated into trained models.

6. Ownership and Rights (High-Level Notice)

When contributors are compensated, data is collected for commercial use, including model training. Ownership, licensing, and deletion rights are governed by our Terms of Service and Contributor Agreement, which may limit access to submitted data and deletion of data already used for research or training.

7. Data Sharing

We may share data:

  • With cloud infrastructure providers
  • With research or commercial partners, in raw or processed form
  • As part of trained models or derived outputs

We do not sell personal account information (e.g., emails) as a standalone product.

8. Data Retention

  • Account data is retained while your account is active.
  • Research data may be retained indefinitely for scientific and commercial purposes.
  • Deletion requests may not apply to data already incorporated into research outputs or models.

9. Geographic Processing

Data is primarily stored and processed in the United States. By using the service, you consent to cross-border data transfer.

You may:

  • Close your account
  • Contact us regarding access or correction of account information

Limitations may apply to deletion of contributed research data.

11. Children

This service is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
